Good Morning.

I have looked at the messages posted here and all files are set per your CHMOD instructions. Yet, I cannot access anything. I am trying to run the installer.
http://www.villageofcrafts.com/guestbook/install.php

It must be a problem in the root directory because I placed a index.html page at the root and still for the "Forbidden" error.
Thank you for any help you can give.

did u really chowned the files correctly???
when it doesn't work try 2 chown all with "chown 755 * -R" in the directory for all files recurs. or the directory "./guestbook" with "chown 777 guestbook"

Hi there . . .
Thanks for the help, but still no access. I CHMOD public and tmp to 755 and the guestbook to 777 and 755. But my hosting company wrote the following when I enabled the domain:

2. Make sure both the script AND THE DIRECTORY THE SCRIPT IS
IN are owned by 'serrao' AND chmod'd to mode 755 (readable,
writable, and executable by the owner, but only readable and
executable by group and world) - even if your script's set-up
instructions tell you to make it world writable or chmod 777,
our system requires that permissions be set to mode 755.

The error
You don't have permission to access /guestbook/install.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas?
Thank you!

I changed the guestbook folder from 755 to 777 and still can't access inside to the install.php

Sorry for all this trouble.
Any other ideas?
Thank you
