Yes you can just stop them being shown by a very minor modification. I'll write a file on how to do it this weekend.

To remove email addresses from public view open templates/entry.php removeand removeIf you want to remove them to prevent the emails being harvested by spammers I have written an email encryption mod available from http://www.carbonize.co.uk/AG.

Can't find that code. This is what my entry.php looks like:

<tr bgcolor="$bgcolor">
<td width="32%" valign="top">
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
<tr>
<td class="font2" valign="top" width="8%"><b>$id)</b></td>
<td width="92%"> <img src="$GB_PG[base_url]/img/ip.gif" width="14" height="14" alt="$LANG[AltIP]">&nbsp;&nbsp;<img src="$GB_PG[base_url]/img/browser.gif" width="16" height="16" alt="$row[browser]">&nbsp;
$URL
$ICQ
$AIM
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="font1"><b>$row[name]</b>&nbsp;$GENDER</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="font1">$hidemail</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="font2">$LANG[FormLoc]:<br>$row[location]</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
<td width="68%" class="font1" valign="top">
<div align="left" class="font3"><img src="$GB_PG[base_url]/img/post.gif" width="9" height="9">$DATE&nbsp;$HOST
<a href="$GB_COMMENT"><img src="$GB_PG[base_url]/img/edit.gif" width="18" height="13" border="0" alt="$LANG[AltCom]"></a>
$EMAIL
</div>
<hr size="1"><div align="left">
$USER_PIC $MESSAGE
</div>
$COMMENT
</td>
</tr>

You forgot to mention you had already implemented my email encryption.

So how do I fix it? I would prefer to hide their addresses completely from pulic viewing. Thank you.

I'm still trying to decide on a name for my version of the guestbook. I am reluctant to call it Advanced Guestbook 2.3.2 as this makes it sound like an official release by Chi Kien Uong. I'm toying with the idea of the db guestbook. I am also thinking about changing the look of the actual entries but still keeping it simple. I'll speak to a couple of web designer friends of mine on the latter point as I am terrible at design. I welcome all input on both topics though. Post your ideas either here, on my forum or email me.
