Does anyone know if I can modify the vote button to take the person to another link and complete something there before their vote is counted?

I am trying to paste the poll code into Frontpage 2003 but all it does is show the following text in preview mode.

poll_process(5); ?>

What am I doing wrong?
I adjusted all of my Frontpage settings except for the php.ini file which I do not know where that is located.
