Password not the same  XML

I used cpanel to load Guestbook2.3.1. The password is the defauly: test 123. I went into my admin control panel, selected change password. This is what I see:

As you can see, the current password has 5 dots not 3 for 123. It also looks as if I'm missing the choice of creating New Password? How do I fix this and how do I change my password?

New to php so be gentle.

What you see in the Password textbox IS NOT your password. It is just 5 stars.

Just put the new password in the first password box and then repeat it in the second box. It's just very badly worded and was one of the first things I changed in 2.3.2
