Addressing inquiries about the Shark NV360

The shark nv360 is one of the most popular models of vacuum cleaners on the market. For this reason, it has received considerable attention regarding its use and other relevant issues. In this article, we will continue our discussion on addressing some of the key questions regarding this machine.

My Shark NV360 seems to pick up the rug. What can I do?

You may want to release the suction power. To do this, simply turn the release valve on the handle. Turn it counterclockwise to open the valve, thereby releasing power. When you need to operate on high suction such as when vacuuming bare or laminated floor, turn the valve clockwise, thereby closing the valve and increasing pressure. This method applies to when the vacuum picks up the rug or when it is hard to push or swivel.

How long is the cord of the shark navigator lift away upright vacuum?

The cord is 25 feet - not terribly that long but standard for home use. To make up for this, the canister is designed to be removable - therefore the name “lift-away” - allowing users to detach it from the motor base and carry anywhere. The cleaner as a whole weighs at around 15 to 16 pounds, so lifting the canister alone should not be too much work.

Some of the other Shark models have lights. Does this one have lights?

Unfortunately, the Shark NV360 is not equipped with light. While Shark did not specify why, one possible reason could be to save power since the extra lighting needs extra electricity to power.

Sometimes it wouldn’t turn on. What’s the problem?

Shark designed the shark navigator lift-away deluxe professional bagless vacuum with users’ safety in mind, so this could be one of the precautions taken by Shark to prevent overheating.

The cleaner is equipped with a motor protective thermostat that measures the temperature of the internal motor. When it detects excessive heat, the thermostat will automatically turn the engine off. Sometimes, you will also feel hot air coming out of the exhaust. This is another way for it to prevent overheating. Keep an eye out for when this happens as the unit might shut down eventually if there’s too much heat.

To restart the machine: turn the power switch to the “off” position. Then, unplug the machine for it to cool down. In the meantime, check to see if there is any blockade in the brushes, inside the filters, or inside the cleaning hose. Remove blockades should you detect any. Make sure you empty the dust cup as well. Let it cool for 30 to 45 minutes. Once the unit returns to room temperature, re-plug the cord and resume cleaning.

How heavy is the shark vacuum NV360?

It weighs around 16 pounds, which is considerably lighter than other models. This has both pros and cons. Pros: you can easily carry it with the lift-away canister. This is good for people with back problems who cannot bend down for a long time. With that said, the Shark NV360 is an upright model that is tall enough to accommodate for upright cleaning. Cons: the vacuum might be too light to support itself. Especially when the cleaning hose is not that long, it might stumble over when users try to stretch it into corners beyond its reach.
