Simple list of email addresses needed

I have a website that I need to mainain a confidential list of member's and their email addresses. I also need to make it very simple for people to join. I currently accomplish this by a simple formmail form that emails me their contact info. I then manually place their email address on my majordomo list.

Can the mysql database available on my webserver help make this easier? I have no PHP or mysql experience. All I need is an easy way to maintain a growing list of email addresses for my organization.
