Hello,
This is my first post here, but I have been using Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 for a while now and have been enjoying its ease of use.
My Question is with Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1, how do you add an additional identity to comment on the Guestbook posts? Is there an easy way to do this? I did a search here, and I could not find a post that covers this. If there is, please point a link so that I may inform myself.
I have been commenting posts on my Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1, but another person in my group wants to add their own comments to the Guestbook also (so they want a separate identity separate from the default identity that can post comments.)
Do I need to explain further?
Thanks!
Ruben

I'm not sure that's possible without customization. I think the comment feature was designed to be used by the site Administrator. In the Admin Panel there is a place to designate whether a password is necessary to make a comment. Maybe a password should be set and all persons allowed to comment have the password access. Different commentors can just sign their name or ID or some identifying info. Otherwise, if you are interested in seeing if this can be customized, I suggest you check with Carbonize. He'll be back on Saturday.

You can edit the script so that the password is not needed. You seem to be forgetting though that the password required for the comments is all that is checked, the username is irrelevant. Therefore so long as you know the comment password you can comment on any post using any username.
