As has already been said TIME AND TIME AGAIN you simply replace all the files EXCEPT admin/config.inc.php. Entries and settings are in the database not the files.

I think we need to redo the title of the "READ THIS FIRST" thread Carb,
people don't seem to read it. Is this info already in there anyway?
