transparent tables

I am new to this guestbook. I have enjoyed using it so far. I want make my tables transparent. I have searched the forum for info on this and have not found anything. Thank you that answers part of my question. I did not specify when i asked. I want the tables to be only about %50 transparent. Is that possible?

There are ways but I'm not 100%. Using transparent images maybe .

Is there a way to modify the table borders?
