restoring a database into v2.4.1 from v2.4.2

We have just moved hosts and want to import our old guestbook.
Our guestbook version is now 2.4.1 and I have been unable to import the phpmyadmin made database into it.
Our old host had version 2.4.2 this wouldnt be the reason would it

I still have access to the old guestbook files and phpmyadmin on our old hosts servers.

Is there anyway I can transfer the old to the new while remaining on v2.4.1

There were no database changes from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 as far as I am aware. If you exported using phpMyAdmin you should have no problems importing using phpMyAdmin.
