Poll in ".inc" file doesn't count votes, links to

I have the php code for a specific poll in an .inc file which ends up within the index.php file like this: (using polltestpage.inc)

myurl.com/index.php?content=polltestpage

The poll shows up fine, but when I click 'vote' or 'see results' it kicks me out to "myurl.com/index.php", not "myurl.com/index.php?content=polltestpage".

Is there a way to make this happen correctly? My votes aren't getting counted. I'm using the SQL version.
