installing 2.4.3 upgrade

I was trying to install the 2.4.3 upgrade from previously 2.3.1

I replaced all the files from the previous guestbook except the config.inc.php under the admin folder.

however, when I tried to sign the guestbook or reply an entry, it gives me these:

and
http://www.usual-album.com/a_bos38/comment.php?gb_id=1250

would you happen to be able to walk me through whats wrong?

By the way, is this 2.4.3. anyhow anti-spam? I have been spammed so badly for years and I finally decided to upgrade to 2.4.3. hoping for anti-spam.

1 - You need to copy your information from the old config.inc.php to the new one

2 - Then you need to visit http://www.usual-album.com/a_bos38/misc/update_db.php

but i have already updated the

$GB_DB["dbName"] = "XXX";
$GB_DB["host"] = "localhost";
$GB_DB["user"] = "XXX";
$GB_DB["pass"] = "XXXXX";

exactly the same to the previous one and

also updated

$GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://www.usual-album.com/a_bos38/"; /* e.g http://www.domainname.com/guestbook/img */

$DB_CLASS = "mysql.class.php";
$TEC_MAIL = "allan@usual-album.com";
$GB_UPLOAD = "public";
$GB_TMP = "tmp";

(previously the base_url was not filled in and the $TEC_MAIL was a different email address)

when i visited http://www.usual-album.com/a_bos38/misc/update_db.php , it still asked me to "Please update config.inc.php first."

please walk me through? thanks

You need to download the guestbook again and copy the database information from your current config file to the one that comes with the latest guestbook as some things are different.

Oh gosh, it totally works.
it was my mistake I was using the old config file as I saw from some other post the old one should be untouched.

that was my misunderstanding.
