Icons won't show on initial launch

I know we've had this toppic before, but I've tried to set the BASE_URL variable in the config.inc.php. Result was that e.g. in page 2 the icons wouldn't display either.

Please paste the line for the base_url from your config.inc.php file.

Here's what I have:

define('USE_CAPTCHA', true);

define('IS_MODULE', false); /* running as POST-Nuke 0.x or PHP-Nuke 5.x addon? */

$GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://www.patrick-hutter.ch/guestbook"; /* e.g http://www.yourdomain.com/guestbook */

This prevents icons from being loaded even if I go to page 2...
If leaving it blank, icons will be loaded by going to page 2.

Well that's correct but it's not working for some reason.
