cool, well done and welome back to your guestbook
In reset.php, you enter a username and password. I used that password.

I THINK you did it wrong then. read the instructions, you are not supposed to use that passowrd at this stage
yes just make sure you read the isntructions carefully for the reset.php method
It did not work, when I run it, I am asked to enter my password. Then it tells me "Invalid password" What now?

which password did you enter?
i just did the reset.zip trick and it worked perfectly.
I'm happy again now
thanks a lot
i'm using 2.3.1 so that means I don't need to patch it right?
I'll just do the reset?
the main admin user/pass when you try to login to the guestbook admin from the top-right section of the guestbook.
no, sorry. the main admin user/password is changed.
I've never used the poll
Hm really need to speak to Auron I think. Is the polls admin password stored in MySQL?

polls admin?
how would I check for that?
is it likely to be the same password as admin?

I haven't forgotten my user/pass, it has been changed by a malicious 3rd party
i'm locked out of admin
I do have phpmyadmin
How can I reclaim control?
many thank
i made the 2nd and 3rd changes just in case
There's no point me chaning the 1st is there as I have 2.3.1

Do I need to do this if my current install is the 2.3.1 ?
Are all of these fixes for 2.2 or only the first fix in the first post of this thread?

so I'm safe with 2.3.1?
I had a guestbook hacked recently and all my valued info was lost.

1. am I safe now?
2. is there a recommended way to backup the comments?
