Thanks a lot--It seems to be working now. You guys are brilliant.

Thanks again,
Joe
Yeah, someone told me that... I'm not sure what the problem is. I'll have to look at the config file again. I think I need to install the database through the INSTALL script, but when I try that I get a "syntax error." I wonder if my unzip program added some kind of characters, since I'm using a MAC OS 9.
Thanks a lot, though.
Yeah, maybe I should change root@localhost to something else...
OK, thanks--I'll see if I can fix it.
I mentioned an error in a previous post, but I have now installed the guestbook tables. The problem is that when I try to access the guestbook at the follwing URL, www.rocketbomb.com/guestbook, I get this error:

Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/rocketbo/public_html/guestbook/lib/mysql.class.php on line 30

I looked at line 30, but since I don't know anything about PHP, I don't understand it.

Joe
Hello,
When I try to use the install script to install the Guestbook tables and database on ipowerweb's vdeck, I get this error:

Error Number: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the
manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

If I install a database using the hosts internal "database install," and then just try to install the GUESTBOOK tables using the install script, it WILL intall the tables. But when I try to access them, I get the same error.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Joe
