I'm trying to install Free Links page, but after everything it shows
"Cannot create ID file links_id.txt in /home/public_html/links. Please check your base directory. "

My base directory is as follows:
$base_dir = "/public_html/links";

i have also tired with
$base_dir = "/home/public_html/links";

and
$base_dir = "/www/links";

nothing seems to work

please help...
