I've searched the forum, but can't seem to find an answer to my question, so I figured I'd just ask :p
I'm currently managing a guestbook and really need to be able to edit the entries. We're running AG 2.2, but someone else installed the book itself, and apparently didn't activate the "edit entries" feature. I'm not that great with PHP etc (hence someone else installed it) and so haven't had much luck finding out how to do it myself - does anyone have any suggestions? How on earth do you activate the editing feature (hopefully without too much pain, and without frying all the entries)? I'm really in a bind here, so any help you could offer would be greatly appriciated

editing entries isnt an option its a feature and should be present for you in your easy admin panel

If for some reason, someone (whoever installed it) commented out the link in panel_easy.php then either upload another copy of panel_easy.php or just manuelly edit the database.
the code in panel_easy.php that you should be looking for is.

Wonderful! Thank you so much
I found where that bit of code should be (there was a hole) and pasted it in. Now I'm getting the "edit" option in with "delete" and "approve" in the easy admin section, but when I click on it I go to the blank page (the one you see when you first log in to the admin, header with links but nothing underneath. Is something missing? The panel_edit file is there, is something else wrong?

I would just upload another copy of panel_edit.php It seems that someone has tried to make sure that you could not edit the entries.
the only other thing that I can think of is that someone had set that copy of the admin like that, so it could be ran in a demo mode.

Tried uploading new versions of panel_edit and panel_easy, but to no avail. Any other suggestions? I'd like to not have to reinstall the whole damn thing, but if it's the only way *shrug* hopefully there's a way to do that without blitzing all the entries in the process.
I'm sure it wasn't set up as a demo - it's a very specific project, designed to be administrated, never a demo. I think the guy who installed it figured he knew more about php than the designers of the guestbook and felt like showing off
I really appriciate all the help You guys/gals are great
