Hello all...

I just downloaded the poll for my site...

But, er... what folder do I upload?

DB? or TextFile?

I uploaded both at first... but it says to alter the DB settings in the config.inc.php

Now, I have done this in the guestbook and it works fine...

But, which config file do I change?

and what do I change...

I can't find anything saying...

guestbook config.inc.php wrote:$GB_DB["dbName"] = "me_book";
$GB_DB["host"] = "localhost";
$GB_DB["user"] = "username";
$GB_DB["pass"] = "password";

I found this in the guestbook config file in admin, and changed it to my DB..

But I canna find anything like that in the poll

Please help

Thanx

Try one of the guides from my sig. that I wrote.
They cover the MYSQL and textfile installs of Advanced Poll 2.0.2, and various other stuff.

It's better to start a new thread, because it's a different issue!

You don't need to specify the action unless you want the poll to go to another page rather than the page the poll is on.

If you installed the poll correctly go into the admin section find the column that says stats and click the icon that looks like a notepad icon that'll bring up the necessary code, you can look at the demo polls, and/or use the last menu option on the far right in the admin section at the top to get the general code you can use to insert polls.

THIS HAS BEEN ANSWERED BEFORE!

Well actually I did help them. But it would save a lot of time if people used the forums search function.
I would also like to point out I didn't write the script and all the help I provide is of my own free will so I can stop without a care to any newbie's!
