Do you have an Arabic language pack on your pc? If not you will probably have to download one. Thats probably why it doesn't look right to you.

Yep. Are you seeing it as being displayed in Arabic? Any more suggestions?

Ok instead of the language pack on your pc is it installed in the poll?? Just taking wild guesses here. Are your permissions set correctly? And actually it looks oriental to me. The font on the poll now.

Permissions seem fine. Should I have different permissions on the actual /lang folder or arabic.php file? I didn't have any of these problems with the english version. The arabic is showing up fine in admin. It just isn't displaying in the poll.

Try setting your arabic folder to 777

Ok, I was having the same problem, and I found out how to fix it.

Open up this file:

Look for this function:

and change this line:

to this:

Then if you put the poll into "english mode" you can copy and paste any other language into the poll questions and options and they will display correctly.

That is the best I could do to get it to work.

Have you tried changing your browser' Text Encoding.

For example...

When I view a Japanese site in comes up in loads of weird characters.
If I change the text encoding to Japanese it displays the correct characters.
