Where do I find the line "Thank you for stopping by my site. Here you can leave your mark." I want to change some wording.

It shows of course in index.php when on my site but not in edit of index.php

Newbie at php. All is is working fine on my site Thanks

Its in a lang file somewhere.

Trying searching all the folders for it, if you can't find it maybe Carbonize
will know where it is or be able to help you.
