Which guestbook are we talking about? 1.5? 2.2 or 2.3.1?

I believe that 1.5 used a flatfile for storing the entries whilst 2.3.1 uses the database so to my knowledge there is no way of transfering the entries across.

If you want them bad enough and don't mind a little work, you can create a .sql file with the entries.

Dates are not encrypted. The dates are stored as unix timestamps. This is the standard format for storing timestamps as PHP can then format them into whatever you want.
ps. Couldn't be bothered logging in.

I should have mentioned that before I installed the updated version of the guestbook, I backed up a .gz file... would that help me in re-stablishing my data back?
