Hi. I've read various threads on this topic and tried the various suggestions, without success.

All I'm doing is adding a table with my site banner and nav (all straight html) to the bottom of header.php (below the body tag).

When I do this, the site banner shows up beautifully, BUT ... in the add entry form, the javascript that runs the smileys and opens the smiley legend window breaks .... the errors being "emoticon is not defined" and "openCentered is not defined".

I haven't touched any of the JavaScript in header.php or form.php ... when I take out that table from header.php, all is well. When I put it back, Javascript errors again.

Here's my guestbook's add entry page, for anyone who wants to take a look: http://www.enlasnubes.org/advancedguestbook/addentry.php

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You said you haven't changed anything... Curious... the version 2.3.1 guestbooks I have seen only have one link for the smilies and AGCodes. Your book has two links. Also, the links point to:

Why don't you try re-doing your base url in the config.inc.php file. Use this code for the base url and see if it helps:

Why your table affects it, I don't know, but change your base url first and see what happens.

Thanks amber !

but, you know... while I was trying your suggestions and testing further, I discovered the problem, and while it was in the header.php, it was nothing more than a stupid human trick! (a missing " in my html)

Sorry to have bothered you all! And thanks again amber!

No problem. Glad you got it fixed. I do like the links saying "see more smileys." Many people don't have a clue what "Show legend" means. I think I'll change this, too.
