Users can't upload pictures (i've tried everything mentioned

Ok, we are having a problem with one of our guestbooks. We are running the 2.3.1 and the when a user adds an image it won't show up.

I've tried setting my base_url to the path of the website, chmod 777 my public and tmp folders, but they just won't show up.

Here is the strange part, when I go into the admin section and do the easy admin the pictures show up there?

So I know they are being uploaded, but just won't show up in the guestbook.

1 - Do you have a link
2 - Have you tried setting the base_url in the config.inc.php file?
3 - What OS is your server running on?

I have the exact same problem. I'm going to take a look at the suggestion by Carbonize about the base_url in the config.inc.php.
If that fixes the problem, I'll let you know.
