Banning in Advanced Guestbook  XML

I have banned the ip 62.254. on advaced guestbook although the users are still able to access the guestbook and sign it. I have it set to Banned IP? YES but it does not seem to work.
I even banned my own IP address but that also did not work...

don't think that is a proper ip address. They should hve more numbers, like the example shown in the administration:

123.123.123.123

it'll ban a range of ip's i do believe.

62.254.000.000 to 62.254.255.255. i think.

The part IP they posted should work fine. Never actually had any reason to ban an IP myself though so never tested it.

Narl - did you try putting 62.254.*.* into the IP to be banned or just 62.254.? I've never used it on my guestbook - I ban the IPs at the cpanel level. That works for me.

they probably didn't do it intentionally.

its just that some isp's give you ip's like this or they appear like this...

123.12.btcentralplus.com or some such stuff.
