I am using this script because my web host provides it. I logged in and am trying to customize it, I was able to customize all colors and text and things like that but I don't like the text that automatically comes with it at the top of my guestbook, it says "Thanks for stopping by my site, here you can leave your mark". I've checked all the templates and can't find anywhere to remove this phrase. Can someone tell me how?

It is in your language/english.php file.

Yes, thank you that solved it. I had to do it through ftp though, cause the list in my websites cpanel didn't offer me that page to customize. I was worried because I wasn't sure if php files get up/downloaded in binary or ASCII I assumed they were like cgi files and needed ASCII and I must've guessed right cause it worked.
Anyway I appreciate the response, it saved me must aggrivation.

I would avoid using cPanel to edit PHP files as it has a nasty habit of putting white space at the end of the file.

This topic was very helpful so thank you to those who both posted & responded! One more item though - how to change the simple headline from "Guestbook" to something more customized?

Which file would that text be in so that I could modify it? I checked body.php and it was not in there, i checked pageheader - also not there.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sure - as a picture is worth a 1000 words & in the interest of brevity, here is a screenshot - click thumbnail to view full size:

I'm referring to the word Guestbook in the top left corner of the page - I'd like to change that to something more customized to the site its supporting if at all possible.

Thanks for any assistance!

It's an image located in the img folder. The HTML for it is in templates/body.php
