In the sticky thread, titled READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ADVANCED GUESTBOOK QUESTIONS, near the start of this forum you will find a bit that says
Quick Mod to have AG 2.3.1 log the IP rather than the hostname, by Carbonize:

ALSO if you looked in the forum dedicated to Advanced Guestbook questions (the one titled Advanced Guestbook) you would see a thread called Is it possible to ban a host name? where the first post is
I want to stop this host name from spamming my guest book Host: buzzard.ai.net , but I can't find the IP number.

Simply performing a search would of revealed this information.

We go to all the trouble of making a sticky thread clearly titled "Read this First" then you go and start a new thread when you obviously have not read the sticky thread. Even if there was no sticky thread there's a thing at the top called SEARCH.

No need to ask questions that have been asked and responded to many times before. Thats why phpbb put that nifty little SEARCH BUTTON At the top.
