I can't seem to find any instructions for upgrading to guestbook version 2.3.4, I currently have 2.3.3 and would like to upgrade.

copy over all your files transfer your config.php information into the new one and run the install file.

It clearly states in the log.txt file what files have been changed. They are all you need to replace.

Ok I uploaded the files in the log.txt file

lib/add.class.php
lib/template.class.php

How do I change the version # now, I didn't see any upgrade.php files to run.

Hi Sorry to be a total noob about this but.. just a question... i downloaded 2.3.4 and read the log.txt...
Changed files

2.3.4
- lib/add.class.php
- lib/template.class.php

2.3.3

- install.php
- lib/add.class.php
- templates/form.php

Question: I am currently running 2.3.1, so all i have to do to upgrade is upload the changed files above and thats it? Will this change all my custom settings/Images/ appearance of the guestbook? Thanks in advance for any help

If you are on 2.3.1 then you really are best off replacing al of your files except admin/config.inc.php. If you have customised your templates then replace all but the config file and your templates BUT you will need to add this to form.php in the templates.

Ok.. i opened templates/form.php and was looking around... i found :
.... that's already in there.. im not sure if you mean to add it to another area ...... also i modified other .php files... like GB.CLASS.PHP for like the menu jump to have another site in it... and other little things... anyway can I just install the changed files rather than overwritting all my previous work.. because honestly .. i don't remember everything i changed and i don't want to lose anything...

I doubt you changed any non template files. As to the code I said to add to form.php yes just put it after the form tag.

mine if 2.3.2 now. So should I just replace the following files without doing anything else :
- install.php
- lib/add.class.php
- templates/form.php

Do I need to update the SQL database? Do I need to run Install.php?

Please advice. Thanks.
