Hi everyone,
I would like to put the guestbook into one of my .shtml pages, but the instructions say to make it a .php page.
I renamed the page template to gb.php although it is a .shtml page and the guestbook works, but the html part does not show.
Is there a way to do this? I would like the page to fit into the rest of the theme of our web site.
Thanks for any help!

I see you are useing Lazarus. Try useing the include code found in the general setting of the admin section. And if you want the GB placed on your main website all you need to do is rename it with a php extension. Also you might want to ask lazarus questions on the lazarus forum located here. http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/Phorum/index.php This is what you are trying to do below correct. That is exactly what I'm trying to do!
I pasted the php include into my page where I wanted it to go. The page runs and picks up my css code and uses it but doesn't format my page.
I am using html includes so I have named my page as .shtml extensions.
thanks for the reply.k

Yes I DID! Thanks guys!
I knew I had done something wrong since it was just an include.
The problem was I had used the "wrong" template with almost the same name!
I suppose nothing like that ever happened to any of you though
I then had to pull all my includes from the page and then rename it to gb.php.
Works GREAT!
Your comments helped very much!!
NOW!!
How do I change the text and maybe image at the top of the page? Is that a header?

I think there is a thread about those things in the sticky labelled "read me first..."
also there is a lot of other bits and pieces you may find useful in there to, g/l.

Thanks to you Auron. I will check that out. Just need to find my way around a bit. Being 73 doesn't help
By the way, Carbonize, if you read this too, I stole one of your great girls when I was there in the early 1950's and brought her home with me.
and we are still together!!!!!
Off to read the 'sticky'.

Got some of the text changed, thanks.
Now:
1. How do I change the SIZE of the guestbook image .gif? Mine needs to be longer
2. How can I add a break between "sign the guestbook" and "administration" links on the right hand side.
Right now it breaks right after the LOCK icon, and I would like the LOCK icon to be on the next line with "administrator" link.
THanks Carbonize for a great guest book.

Thanks Carbonize but tried changing image sizes.... no good.
Tried changing td width and heights but no good.
Guess I'll just have to leave as is.
Thanks for your help.

gbook.gif. I would like the gbook.gif to be larger if possible. I have made one as you can see on my site. I made it larger but the guestbook keeps reducing the size to fit your format.
My formatted page width also causes the line with "sign in" and "administration" to break after the "lock" icon to the next line leaving the word "administration" on a line by itself.
Thanks friend,

Yes. I changed the width to 60%, the width to 250 and height to 50 for the gbook.gif but there did not seem to be any change.
I would like a logo about 1.5 times as big there and would like the sign in and administration to be on one line other than folded back.
Thanks
