I'm not sure where to put the javascript code.

I have a big site and getting bigger. It's primarily HTML but I use the PHP extension for the pages because I use PHP include tags.

I use a separate header and footer file. The opening body tag is in the header.

I have 2 subdomains also. Since the site is large, I use the subdomains to divide it into sections. Each subdomain has it's own header file.

Do I place a copy of the javascript code in each header?

Or place the javascript in an external file and call the file at the star of each page that needs it.
