Alt tags

Hello all,

I have made the Advance Guestbook 2.3.1 w3c compliant, but there's only one thing:
How do i give all images alt tags?

Go through all the templates then look in gb.class.php and add.class.php for the gender images.

What and where should i insert anything? alt="female" does not work.
how do i do this in php?
Could you please make me an example?

How about the smilies?
I tried to find it myself, but i don't know where and what to look for.
Inserting alt tags would be slightly different here i guess.

i did find it.
It was in vars.class.php
