Hi there,

I've just upgraded our guestbook to the 2.4 version and everything went fine wit the exception that when I try to sign the guestbook I get the following error:

I had the same problem as you...

You need to copy paste the db info of old admin/config.inc.php to the new one !! then ftp it over to your server...

After that launch (via your browser) http://www.yourdomain.com/guestbook/misc/update_db.php

It worked with me !

Hi there tasari,

Thanks for your reply but, since I'm totally a beginner in this things, could you just confirm if I just have to copy the file admin/config.inc.php to the new guestbook?

Thanks again for your help

Best regards,
Álvaro

No you don't copy the file ! You have to use the config.inc.php of the new version and copy/paste the DB INFO in it ! Little bit different !

Do you get the image ? Is it shown ? I still don't have the image...

Just my 2 cents...

This is what I get in the admin of Advanced Guestbook :

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

I also looked in my vps...
gd + gd-devl + gd-progs is installed
freetype + freetype-devel + freetype-utils is installed

I even re-installed gd and freetype...

I was updating from Advanced Guestbook 2.3.1 to immediately 2.4, maybe there was a problem in it... I think I will try to install from scratch
