Hi
I am no longer able to log in to my GuestBook.
I am sure the user/pass is correct. I even cleared the password stored and tried again.
At the moment there is one spam and why I was trying to login to delete it.
Guestbook here

Thanks
Dave

There is a password reset script in the misc folder of the guestbook.

Well something very strange is going on.
I applied the reset and was able to login but now I am getting the same error
"Invalid username or password. Please try again."

I think the problem had to do with a glitch in Firefox storing my password.
Even though I did manually enter them as well, I still could not login however.
I deleted some entries there are started over and now things seems to work ok.
I never had to change my original user/password.
Thanks
Dave

My friend's guestbook I set up seems to be having this problem repeating itself every now and then. I installed 2.3.4 and upgraded to 2.4 when it came available.
Everything else has been working fine but the password has now two separate times stopped working couple of weeks apart of eachother (both times at 2.4). I have a co-admin (I use Firefox and she I believe uses IE) and it locks for both of us when this happens.
Carbonize's reset script always works (tnx for that!) but it's really annoying when it happens. Do you have any idea why it might happen?
I have now updated to 2.4.1 and hope it solves this problem but if it doesn't is there any permanent fix I could try?

All I can say is clearing the password cache worked for me. Since then, I've had no problems.

Lyric the folder is called misc under the one you created where you guestbook resides.
for example
guestbook/misc/forget_pass.php
Just point your browser to the full path and follow the instructions.

The misc folder, and therefore the reset script, is only in AG 2.4 and newer. I have a reset script in the FAQ's for Lazarus and it will work for AG.
