I can't get to the admin panel.

Hello everyone.
I'm running the old version of the Guestbook, and apart for the usual problems with spam and hacks, I am very happy with it. So thanks to everyone that makes it possible.

Now my problem is that I can't get to the Admin panel. That is, I write my user, and my password, and there it opens the blue panel with the links to templates, easy admin, etc. But when I clik on any one of it, it redirects me automatically to the password panel.

I can't delete messages (I have now two spams), nor changing the style. I have tried to re-install the whole guestbook, change the codes and everything, but I can't solve the problem. I need you help. Thank you very much.

Please? anyone could help me? all the links in the config panel lead me to admin.php.

I'd really suggest either updating or reading this forum for my mod to remove the exploit they keep using.

Download 2.4.1 from this site, copy your database information from your old config.inc.php file to the one in 2.4.1. Upload the 2.4.1 files. Download my 2.2 to 2.3.x updat escript from www.carbonize.co.uk/AG and upload the extracted file to your guestbok folder. Visit the file in your web browser and follow the instructions. Then you need to run the update_db.php file found in the misc folder of 2.4.1. After that you're good to go.

I have the same error but with the 2.4.1 version ... how can I resolve this ...

It's a totaly new installation.

I try somethings: the misc reset password, delete everything and reinstall, delete the db and user and created, upload again the files, and nothing.

You have done a fresh installation of 2.4.1 and when you login in and click a link it logs you back out?

Yes when I'm into the admin panel ( background blue ) and try to get in to the General Settings for example, the app redirect me to the login page.

And yes its a 2.4.1 fresh installation.

ok, almost one year later and still I got this problem.
Solved the problem by closing some explorer windows, start-up again a fresh new explorer window and there I go: no problems anymore.

I think we have to thank Mr.Microsoft for this bug,

When i am on the loginscreen, i fill in my name and password.
Then i get a blue screen with:

I get back on the login screen again...
This wasn't before i got all these 3000 spam messages (these were as signatures in my guestbook, not as posts).

I tried to recover password, with the php file in misc.
I tried to update from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 but the problem is still there...
But i just can't ge into my panel anymore.

Any help please?

Ok. an hour later...

I removed the guestbook and database, and started all over again with a new clean and fresh install 2.4.2

When i log in, i see the blue screen with easy admin etc etc

Doesn't matter what i choose.. i get directed back to log in screen again.

It happens in IE and mozilla firefox.

I don't see the solution.
Any help maybe?

oki, no one can help.

I removed the database and book.

I start 100% over again...

a complete new database and 2.4.2. install..

The problem is still there...

I have this exact problem and came here looking for help... looks like I might not find any.

I would have to go in and have a look.
