I have installed the advance poll and love it !!

The only thing that seems to not work is the ip checking. I have it set on
and set the seconds like 8760 hours for like 365 days, but after one day
when i come back to my site it doesn't display as if I have have voted already.

I even cleared out the ip table and voted again and it only last for like one day, but your poll seems to remember that i have voted.

is there something I am missing ?

Thanks

looks like the last 3 digits of my ip address changed.

any code changes to ignore the last three digit of ip address hopefully that would not block too many others ? or maybe thats a bad idea.

how does the cookie option work ?

if you use the poll_cookie.php then i guess you turn off the ip checking option ?

should this work and can you change 96 hours to something larger or is there a limit

Cookies will stop a particular machine from voting again unless the user clears their browser' cookies.
You can set its life time at the top of poll_cookie.php.

IP check/table only works if your voters have a static IP whereas some have one that changes.
Whether or not it changes is down to their ISP so there is little to be done about it.

Enabling both gives you the best cover so long as the life time / lock out times are the same.
