mysql error for phppoll!

8O I've tried eveythign but it still won't connect to mysql database it makes the data abse but doesn't dump the table is it i keep getting a
MySQL Error : Connection Error
Error Number: 0
and eveytime i try to redo the script i manual delete the data base so it might work but it still doesn't what could be wrong?

some one pleae help! i don't know whats wrong.... could it be cause my server is behind a strict firewall and requires me to connect throught mysql like this?localhost:/home/USER/domain.com/.database/mysql/mysql.sock

could that be causing the problem? but it makes the poll datdt base but doesn't dump the stuff and i get this error:
