It crashes everytime anyone visits or when I try to delete the entry.
It doesn't allow me to delete it, it crashes too soon for the admin. page to load. Does anyone know what to do? I CANNOT delete the offensive post. Please help!
I screencapped the page, here's the post:

PM me with your guestbooks url, your username and password and I will delete it for you. Or if you have phpMyAdmin you can delete it that way.

Thank you so much but I managed to get in there and delete the spam posts. Man, why does anyone take the time to do that? Would you spend your money on a spam pop up gambling site? So retarded.
Again, thank very much!

It's something your host usually provides. As I said before you are welcome to supply me with your details and I shall delete the offending entry.

I do have access to phpMyAdmin. I have no idea what to do but I would like to do it so I can deal with this next time it happens. I am logged in to phpMyAdmin now. Could you let me know how to delete the last 3 posts? Those are the ones hanging up the board. Thanks.

You need to select the database for your Advanced Guestbook and then click book_data in the left frame. This will open up book_data in the right frame. Select Browse at the top of the right frame and from here you will be able to delete them.

Just to confirm we are talking about Advanced Guestbook 2.something yes?
In the left pane, where it says 'No tables found in database' you would usually get a list up od available databases. Or if you only have one database a list of the tables in that database.

Yes, I'm using Guestbook 2.3.1
If I hit the stop button before the post can re-direct, I can login as admin. I disabled HTML but I guess it only applies to new posts.
The database you see is the only one that shows up although the site does have Guestbook and Coppermine (photo gallery) installed.

One of the benefits of using Firefox as your web browser is that it's easy to disable Javascript and with Webdeveloper extension just as easy to disable meta refresh.

Thanks Carb. That did the trick. I had to delete about 50 entries.

Dear Carbonize,
Is it possible to make the advanced guestbook entries password-required-only? I'm getting an AAAAmazing amount ofm spam.
Perhaps add some script somewhere? I can password protect the comments to the entries but there is nowhere to tick to password the entries...
thanks!

I did write a mod to achieve this. It's in the forum somewhere or possibly on www.carbonize.co.uk/AG

Thanks
