Well, my 2.4.1 got hacked I guess. I was receiving lots of spam replies to legit entries and eventually I was unable to login as admin. I tried all the fixes I could find on the forum, namely the password reset, but it didn't work. So I figured I'd update. (Btw, when I search this forum, it doesn't seem to filter anything just fyi...)
I uploaded all the files to my hosted guestbook folder and ran the install.php. I entered what I think is the correct info but it replies with...
Database Error
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MySQL Error : Database Error
Error Number: 1050 Table 'book_auth' already exists
I'm not really sure what's going on, but I've made it obvious I don't know much about databases and the like. What am I doing wrong?

You don;t need to run the install.php since your database is already set up.

Ok, how do I get it to work? This is what I'm getting....

It was working before I uploaded the files.

You should of kept the config.inc.php file from your files. You need to open config.inc.php in a text editor and fill in your database details.

I see, I was worried about that.
Carbonize, I realize you're a very busy individual and that you volunteer your time to help out here and I appreciate it. Could you please help me fill in my db details? I don't know where exactly to find these details or what I'm looking for.
Also, I looked at the config and I'm not even sure where to fill them in.... it's after each equal sign in quotations?

The only person who could give you your database details would be your hosts.

Well, I found my database name and host in MySQL and MyPHP, but I can't figure out the username. I sent an email to my host and I'm waiting for a response, but I'm not sure how it was able to setup the config file in the first place unless it has access to info that I'm not able to access.
Any idea what the username may be? Is that something that is set to a default or is that something that I would have decided when I installed it initially? All the other details in the config file seem like they should be accurate, so this may be the last problem.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it in MyPHP. Now I just got to figure out how to get admin login working....
