Locked Poll

After a certain time the poll on my page did not appear. When I checked with the admin page the poll appeared as locked. The name of the locked poll disappeared so that it could not be edited. Why is this so?

I'm having the same problem. With a couple of polls locking what looks like by themselves, poll title disappearing in the admin screen.
On the HTML page the poll just disappears no error message or anything.

So far I've been "fixing" this by deleting the polldata folder & restoring back up data. Which isn't particulary good because as it means I loose up to 24 hours of data.

I thought I had come up with a fix before by clearing out the IP log files & switching off IP Logging, but it's just happened again now.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how, if possible, to stop it?

Only possible cause I can think of since elimating the IP Logs is that I'm running several monthly polls which some have large voters 7000+ at the moment and still climbing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

This is occuring quite often now.
Anyone have any clue on how to solve this problem???

My theory is that the text version of the poll can't handle a few people voting at the exact same time.

Anyone have a solution besides changing to MySQL, which my host currently does not support

that's correct, so
you should better use the db version

I searched for locked poll and found this. I am using 2.02. I downloaded the IP table and I can clear it if necessary but have I lost the number of votes for each option or am I missing something?
I see the IP log only so there is no record of number of votes?

When creating a poll there is an option to specify whether the poll should
expire appropriately called - expire (i think) with the text never next
to it and a check box as well.

It has completely locked the poll the icons showing stats and comments go to a page where it shows 0 votes.
Older polls that are inactive are accessible and fine
