Login and go to templates
In header.php change the <body......> with this:
<body background="$VARS[pbgcolor]" link="$VARS[link_color]" vlink="$VARS[link_color]">

(((bgcolor -> background)))

Go to style and change background color with the name of an image in the templates folder (maximum 7 characters with the .gif or .jpg)
