I checked the databese and found out that the values are put in the table already cut. So i can guess that the problem is somewere in the script that inserts data in the table (mysql).

So now i'm giving a list of my server-software. If you run the same software you may encounter the same problems:

<li> Yhe latest available PHP (v 4.2.3)

I have the same problem and I don't know what to do?! I've also downloaded some other poll script and it does the same thing; it cut's the first 4 letters. What is wrong? .....
