however, i then went on to try to create a second guestbook of sorts, by adapting the original code and using different names for the script. but it doesnt work. any ideas?

the base url and directories are correct.
i have created the guestbook_file.html, id_count.txt (with a 1), page_count.txt, and sample.html files.
the addentry page ([url]http://brownie.pressurised.net/addmusic.html[/url]) is exactly the same as my original guestbook one, all except the form tag has action="musicform.pl" instead of "guestbook.pl"

everything seems to be correct... but it still doesnt work!! can anybody help?
please someone reply even if its to tell me i cant do this at all lol.
