READ THIS!!! Advanced Poll -->> Cookies dont work

Hi!
I installed the text file version of Advanced Poll :D
I love it. And everything works but one thing... :twisted:
When someone clicks Vote, it votes but you can vote again and again.
When in Windows I go to theC cookie directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\SeBsZ\Cookies
No cookie is added.
I know you will think now that I have to include:
[code] /* Include this before your html code */
include "/advancedpoll/poll_cookie.php";
?> [/code]
And I did... :P
Now you will think I have to put it above the [code][/code]tag...but... I did that too...
I tried everything I just can't get the cookie function to work. I am sorry
if it was somewhere else in this forum but I looked for it but
I couldnt find it....

enable "Check -> IP table" from the general settings menu

Hi,
thanks, I did that and now I cannot vote again. However, since I am in a network with firewall, only one computer can vote, and since all computers have the same ip address, they are all blocked....
any suggestions on how to improve this?

You are using an absolute path for the cookie file. I belive the include function in php must be relative so instead of:
[code]
include "/advancedpoll/poll_cookie.php";
[/code]

Use:
[code]
include ("./advancedpoll/poll_cookie.php");
[/code]

You can then turn off the ip table checking and everyone behind a firewall will be allowed to vote, of course they can reset their cookies or use a different web browser and vote multiple times, but it works fine if you're not being too scientific.
