Embedding poll inside blog entry

I'm having trouble embedding polls inside of blog entries in my site. Whenever I add the code below to my entry, it corrupts my site and puts out a PHP parse error.

[code] include_once "/home/foofight/public_html/poll/booth.php";
echo $php_poll->poll_process(5);
?>[/code]

Am I doing something wrong? :cry:
