Advanced Guestbook - images not uploading

Hello,

After perusing several posts on this topic, I still cannot get photos to upload to a guestbook. (the guestbook in questio is located at http://www.adventurecat2/guestbook.)

All files except /public, /tmp & /templates have permissions set to 755. /public, /tmp & /templates are set at 777.

Base_url in config.inc.php is set correctly ($GB_PG["base_url"] = "http://www.adventurecat2.com/guestbook/"

Safe mode is Off.

File uploads in On.

I don't know what else to try! Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

jonesaroo

I doubt it will fix your problem but lose the trailing slash from the base url. It should be http://www.adventurecat2.com/guestbook not http://www.adventurecat2.com/guestbook/. If the problem was with the permissions it would give an error messae unless your hosts are like mine and turned off all PHP error messages, nice people they are.

Well.... you were right. It didn't fix the problem, but thanks for straightening me out on that.

I have an ISDN line and if I watch my router while the SHOULD be posting, it appears to be quite busy and takes some time to finish, but... no photo.

The site is hosted by Yahoo. Is it possible that they are somehow blocking uploads?

-j

Ewwww at Yahoo. Might be worth reading their FAQ see if it says anything about it there or possibly in your hosting package details.

Yeah I know. Yahoo was not my choice... I'm trying to help someone else get this running on their site. it works fine on my site that's hosted by Site5. Interestingly, the person doing this has the same version of Advanced Guestbook running on another Yahoo hosted site and it works just fine. The difference is that the on that works was installed by Yahoo itself back when they offered it free to their customers. The new site that doesn't work was installed by running install.php. Hmmmm.... in order to that, we had to set up MySQL database. The database has a different username & password than the one used to FTP to the site. Could this be the problem? Maybe the passwords have to be the same?

-j
