PHP Message Board Forum

I've been setting up a forum that I'm planning on using for a new Survivor related web site I'm designing.

I have a question regarding the guestbook. I want to use the forum to play a Survivor-based game.

Is there a way to prohibit two groups (each tribe) from being able to send IM's to persons of the other group (tribe)? Or, is there a way to prohibit individuals from sending IM's to other individuals?

I'm trying to eliminate the possiblity of members of opposite tribes being able to communicate with each other prior to a "merge" without removing IM capabilities all together.

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Lost me there as the guestbook doesn't support IM's. Unless you mean if they supplied one when they signed in which case it's everyone or no one.

Crap - I'm not referring to the guest book at all. Sorry! I'm referring to the phpBB. The message board forum by Powered by phpBB 2.0.8 © 2001 phpBB Group. I'm lost. Sorry for the confusion.

However, if you can still provide any help, it'd be greatly appreciated. If not, please disregard. It's late and I seem to be a bit tired.

Not to my knowledge no. You'd be better off asking on their forums. And while you're there update to 2.0.10 and read the new regarding a recently found exploit and how to patch it.
