Old GBook saved - Installed New - How 2 upload old entries??

I need to upload to the new installed guestbook, old entries from the old guestbook, I have no entries on the new one, I backed up the entire old guestbook folder... how can I do this??[/b]

I had 1.5 installed, I installed the latest one now... 2.3.1... my question is, how do I restablish the entries, I downloaded the whole folder to my hardrive, of the old guestbook.

I believe that 1.5 used a flatfile for storing the entries whilst 2.3.1 uses the database so to my knowledge there is no way of transfering the entries across.

If you want them bad enough and don't mind a little work, you can create a .sql file with the entries.

Dates are not encrypted. The dates are stored as unix timestamps. This is the standard format for storing timestamps as PHP can then format them into whatever you want.

ps. Couldn't be bothered logging in.[/quote] I should have mentioned that before I installed the updated version of the guestbook, I backed up a .gz file... would that help me in re-stablishing my data back?
