guestbook block

Is there any way to block someone from posting in the guestbook twice? I don't mean the flood protection...I mean prevent them from EVER posting again. Probably by logging IP addresses in a database. If not can it be implemented in the next version.

Appreciate the response, but what I mean is not to block people because they are necissarily doing something wrong, but to just automatically prevent someone from signing more than once, make it a true guestbook where people leave their "touch" once and can't touch again . I guess it can't be done now, but it would be nice for the next version to both drop a cookie and log the IP address in a database to "help" to automatically prevent people from signing more than once.

No it cannot be done. Wha tif they sign from a public computer or a large network? Once they had signed nobody else could sign from that location. The same applies to people on dial up who get assigned a new IP each time they connect.
