Need install file for advanced guestbook 2.2

I had to transfer my site to another server and I need to reinstall my guestbook hopefully without loosing my guests info but I deleted the install file and can't find it on my computer, can anyone help?

From what you say about not losing your guests info I guess you have a back up of the old database. You should be able to use the backup to create and populate the tables in your new database.

Oops, I guess I have no guests entries any more huh? I backed up entire site but on checking I can't find the sql databases, boy am I in trouble. I guess I will just install the latest version of the book, the other one was fantastic! I still have my headers and footers and such, are they the same in the new version? Can I just swaop files?

If they are not identical they will be similar enough for you to easily edit.

I can't get the new book to install either, I get this error!

catfishh_agbook2 sounds more like the name of your database and not the database server. Try leaving it as localhost.

Got it but when I clicked to install the book, it atomatically gave me these settings, I changed it to localhost and it installed, thanks...Any exploits in this one I need to know about?

Nope. You have HTML switched off so nothing to worry about.

I'd just go with the simple anti spam method at first. You can find it in this forum or on my sites forum.

I have'nt been getting any guests in my book and I checked today and after adding the code you sent me for private messaging now the book sign in has this error :

You mean the code to remove private messages? All that was was to remove the check box from the form.php file.

Post the first block of text from your addentry.php file. It should just be a bunch of includes.

I have no idea how those f's got there, I did'nt add them and nothing you sent me contained that part of the code! This is weird, is there any way a guest could do that? Because I had one guest sign in after I added the spam to private message thing and then no more..
