seit ca. 1 woche komme ich nicht mehr in den admin bereich des guestbook.. es scheint als hätte jemand den bn und pw geändert.
gibt es eine möglichkeit über ftp die pws zurückzusetzten ohne alle einträge zu verlieren?

komme zwar jetzt in den adminbereich aber leider wenn ich dort was machen will, jagt es mich immer zurück zum loginbereich.?????

It´s a install with 2.3.1 over the old Version 2.3.0.

After the Admin Login i can see the site.
Every Link on Top goes to the Login Site again.

You know, I have quite a bit of entries in the guestbook including pictures, so I wouldn't want to get them all removed if I'd execute the 2.2 to 2.3.x Database Upgrade Script. All I wanted to do is to get rid of the spam, and I get spam posts every half an hour or so in the meantime. That's why I tried to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3. However, now I cannot access the administration anymore - though when I log in with my password, I get no errors. But clicking on the admin functions throws me out. So I'm pretty helpless at the moment, especially because the spam continues unceasingly and I cannot even delete it anymore.

All I'd need is a way to access the admin area once more - would the Password and Username Reset Script help at all? Besides I first read through the Forum here, finding a post with 4 things to change in the PHP file to prevent spam in version 2.2. This I did. 2 minutes later the next spam arrived. 2 hours later I had 5 more spam posts. Then I upgraded to 2.3, hoping that this would help. But, alas, it seems the spam persists and now I don't have any chance to get in again.

I guess what I did yesterday was to run the "2.2 to 2.3.x Database Upgrade Script" from your page. Tried to run it again (as I wasn't sure what I've run), but obviously I cannot execute that anymore now, because my login isn't accepted anymore.

Anyway, you state: "THIS WILL ONLY UPDATE THE DATABASE. YOU STILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD A COPY OF 2.3.X, EDIT THE CONFIG FILE THEN UPLOAD HE FILES."

Ok, to clarify things - I assume this means: Download the "full" version of "Advanced Guestbook 2.3.2" on proxy2.de and then install that according to the instructions, right? Anyway my upgrade script is meant to be used to update the database but you personaly have to download 2.3.2 and replace ALL your files with the new files remembering to edit the config.inc.php file found in the admin folder. I have stated before there is little need to update from 2.2 if you patch the login exploit. The spam hasn't gone away completely, but seems quite reduced with the regular 2.3.2 version. Oh, just a quick question, as perhaps you have that right in your head somewhere: The text color of the comments has reverted to black now - and as the background of the entry page is pretty much black as well, it's not really visible.
