the code operates just fine when i'm using it in a regular php page, but i get a 1046 error whenever i try to use the poll in any kind of smarty template...

is there any known work around or fix to get Advanced Polls to work in a smarty template? i've searched & tried to do it on my own, but everything i try just won't work.
